The Rees Hotel Queenstown has made the decision that COVID-19 Vaccination Certificates (CVC) will be required by anyone entering The Rees Hotel Queenstown from December 15th, 2021. Scanners have been installed in all departments to ensure that everyone coming to The Rees Hotel has a valid CVC – these scanners are in place and working now.

This decision will ensure that The Rees Hotel Queenstown has in place the highest available levels of protection against COVID-19 for our team, guests, suppliers, delivery people, service providers (including transport and activity providers) and contractors and fulfils our legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

The directive of the NZ government is that hospitality venues are required to ensure that all guests aged 12 and over are double vaccinated for bookings from 03/12/21 until further notice.

Proof of vaccination will be required until NZ Health mandates that hospitality venues may welcome un-vaccinated guests.

The CVC requirement will apply to all employees, as well as customers/guests, contractors, and visitors to our site, to protect them (and their families) from the harmful effects of COVID-19 and minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission within our site, workplace, and the wider community.

With regards activities and/or transport that is booked via the hotel we expect that all staff of these businesses will be vaccinated too.

We look forward to working with you.

The Rees Hotel, Queenstown Team
