The True South tasting menu allows you to sample our interpretation of “The True South” experience.   Last order for this menu is 9pm. Enjoy!
Amuse – bouche
Warm salad of asparagus, pumpkin pana cotta, lemon and pine nuts
Chilled “bloody mary” consommé, lovage cream and tomato salad
Pan seared Nelson scallops with cured salmon, orange and fennel salad
Pave of prime Hereford beef, roasted beets and creamed potatoes
Pre Dessert
Strawberry pavlova, Otago saffron custard and lemon balm
A cheese of your choice from our board with pickled pear and Otago honeycomb

Whitestone Totara Tasty
This cow’s milk cheese is a mature tasting cheddar style cheese with a proper vintage cheddar flavour
Gibbston Valley Wakatipu White
This brie style cheese is made from double-cream jersey cow milk and has a clean, creamy slightly acidic flavour
Blue River Curio Bay
A 100 % sheep`s milk Pecorino style cheese made in southland. Aged for 6-8 months it has a nutty rich flavour
Whitestone Farmhouse
A rinded cow’s milk cheese that is the original cheese from Whitestone. It is fresh and zingy with a slightly nutty flavour
Gruff Junction Springston
A soft goat`s milk cheese with a light rind it has a medium creamy, earthy tangy flavour
Whitestone Dansey’s Pass
This semi hard natural rind goat’s cheese has a pleasant texture and mild to medium goaty flavour
Gibbston Valley Kawarau Blue
Made from cow’s milk this medium strength blue cheese has a slightly salty taste and a creamy texture
Whitestone Windsor Blue
This multi award winning cow’s milk blue cheese is creamy and buttery with a full flavour
Gruff  Junction Lincoln Blue
This blue goat`s milk cheese has a full sharp blue flavour with a good goaty finish on the palate
Blue River Brydone Blue
An interesting sheep`s milk cheese, made from vintage feta that is injected with Roquefort it has a strong sharp flavour
