Hello,
We stayed 3 nights at the Rees, the 3rd night was separate from the first 2, in which we stayed in the Executive suite, and had the Relaxation package. It was absolutely fantastic as this was our honeymoon. I cannot recommend your hotel enough. The rooms were amazing, so clean and modern yet stylish. We appreciated all the small extras, that made us feel very special. The service was fantastic, we dealt with Morgan when we were booking activities, and she was a gem. Extremely helpful, and thoughtful, even when at times our requests may have been a little stressing.
If, and when we return to Queenstown, we will be sure to use the hotel again, and recommending it to our friends and family.

We were sorry we had to leave so soon. Our stay in Queenstown was the highlight of our time in New Zealand not least because of our stay at The Rees. The apartment was terrific with a superb view and you and your staff could not have been more helpful. Good morning.
I would to say that we were extremely impressed with your accommodation and loved everything – from the architecture, to the room design, the detail to an amazingly comfortable lounge suite and bed, and the room servicing. We absolutely will be back to stay on our next trip which we are hoping to make annually, and will highly recommend to friends heading to Queenstown.
Queenstown must undoubtedly be the most picturesque town in New Zealand and your new complex has complimented the lakeside aesthetics’ beautifully.

We loved our stay at The Rees, definitely the best accommodation we experienced during our 3 week hols in North & South Island. Our room overlooking Wakatipu and The Remarkables was beautiful and extremely comfortable to relax in, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job every day.When we managed to haul ourselves out of the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in we had great breakfasts and were well attended to by the dining room staff who were probably the most willing and happy we have met for a good while!
To anyone reading this feedback in order to help them decide whether to stay at The Rees- we had originally booked for 4 nights but were so impressed with the quality of the decor and furnishings and the wonderful level of service that we stayed for a further 4 nights! We came to regard the tui bird outside our balcony every morning as a close friend and felt very hard of leaving when our time was up.
Thanks again to you Michael for your unfailing and generous help given each time we had a question or needed something-Â you must be proud to work as part of a jolly good team in such a wonderful hotel that looks after its guests with such a warm professionalism.

Thank you very much for the very comfortable and enjoyable stay we had with you on 12 December.
Your staff are a credit to your business, very courteous and attentive.
The breakfast was excellent – I was so impressed with the quality, I took the time to thank the chef personally and also the waitress who was perfect with her level of service.
The room was extremely comfortable and very clean which is something very important to me. The only point I would make here is the cleaners looking to clean the room at 10.10am, very enthusiastic, but a little early!
Once again, thank you. We will definitely be back and as I work for a large business myself, I have already recommended this as a place of referral. (my feedback was eagerly anticipated from the managers in this regard).

Well what can I say – there are no words to describe how WONDERFUL your staff and hotel were.
The reason I chose the Ress was the response I received from Kristie some months back.
I emailed several 5 star hotels requesting some guidance / advice about what could be offered to help celebrate an 80th surprise birthday holiday I was organising for my partner.
Kristie was the only person to reply to my request…..hence our email friendship began and because of her I rearranged my initial itinerary to stay longer at the Ress (an extra two nights)
We can not speak highly enough about the Ress. Its location, cleanliness and little extras in the room, remote blinds (although being a little darker would have been nice for a late sleep in).
The highest praise does have to go Kristie, she made our stay the most memorable holiday we have ever had and the most talked about part of our trip. (we now have very very envious friends!)
My partner has travelled the world several times over – staying at Waldorf Astoria and other perceived first class establishments, and has NEVER encountered someone as genuine and friendly as Kristie.
She made us feel like VIP’s – that we were the only people in the hotel.
We shed a tear (in the car so she couldn’t see) the day we left, feeling like we were leaving our best friend behind.
Her friendship, kindness, bright bubbly personality and willing to help was absolutely overwhelming.
Kristie went well and truly beyond “her job”
Even as much as arranging a mechanic to fix our hire car brake light, suggesting and booking a long lunch, helicopter flights, and lots of other little “treats” along the way, making sure our room heater would be fixed before our return.
Upon our check in “the boys” (as we affectionately called them) Roman and Michael were so pleased to finally meet us, as Kristie had called them several times on her DAY OFF to ensure the balloons, cake, cheese platter I had asked for were in the room waiting to surprise my partner.
Very few people I know would do that on their day off.
Michael eagerly assisted us with our bags, gave us a room tour – showing us how all the little gadgets worked, and coming back to fix our bedroom TV.
Roman was a wealth of knowledge at the brochure wall, full of enthusiasm about different tours he thought we would like.
You have an asset in Kristie that you can not place a price on – I sincerely advise you to value and treasure her – I run my own business and know how hard it is to find staff like her as well as Roman and Michael.Â
We are already planning our next trip to the Rees, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I already have an aunt and Uncle who want to book their 60th & 70th in a few years time, with Kristie!!!!
So to say I / we were happy is an understatement……and I guess it looks like I did find the words after all

The apartment we had was fantastic and my daughter has been requesting that we all go back and live permanently in our NEW HOUSE, so you definitely made an impression on her.
As we travelled throught the South Island and stayed at various venues, it became very obvious that the product you offer is of a very high standard.

I would like to say a big Thank You from the Staff at CHP Consulting. We all had a lovely time in Queenstown and the outstanding hospitality and efficiency we received from all the staff at the Rees hotel from check in with Andrew, Alex and Rowan to check out, it was very much appreciated. The team went out of their way to make sure all our staff’s needs were met no matter what their requests. I felt that the way in which Andrew organises the express check in for groups is highly commendable, especially since a few of our staff had an extended stop over in Christchurch that lead to a long day of travel.
To Elizabeth and Nicky, I would like to thank you both for all your organisation of both accommodation and the meeting itself in the lead up to our Company Conference and all the work you did on the day. Our constant changes (sometimes daily) with our requests were always complimented with a speedy response from you both.Â
Sonja, your attentiveness and punctuality helped to make our 2009 Annual Company Conference run smoothly and on time. CHP Consulting always runs on a tight schedule for our conferences and meetings so again your timeliness was very much appreciated.Â
Whilst the Interior of the rooms at The Rees Hotel were beautifully designed and decorated, it will be the staff themselves and not the accommodation that will remain in my memory the most.Â

We had the most fantastic night on Sat!!! EVERYONE raved about the food and the venue, it was a great idea to come and celebrate at the Rees! Ben did an amazing job, and I noticed the plates were nearly licked clean after each course…..and Sonija looked after us all so well, she was always on hand.
Thank you so much for suggesting the idea/menu and the apartment – it was lovely to have everyone together and be able to see each other throughout the meal, the Apartment was just perfect…one of the conversations around the table on the night was about whose Bday it was in the summer, so we could all come back and have a summer dinner with the patio doors open!!!
I will write a proper note to Ben and drop in a little something for him and Sonya when I come in to pay you – talking of which, please let me know what I owe you.

We did pray to the god to let our schedule plane be cancelled yesterday so we could go back and stay one more night at your hotel. However, it wasn’t a succeed pray and still need to come back and work. We are hoping to go ZQN again this year and will stay in your hotel.
You and the team have made us a pleasure time whilst we were there, even though we didn’t have much time. I will certainly recommend your hotel to my friends whenever they going to ZQN! A minor detail as I love my spa baths it would be recommended to have some spa foam/wash included with the amenities.
