Jacks Point Golf Club

Set within a 3,000 acre nature preserve on the shores of Lake Wakatipu this 18 hole 72-par golf course is designed by John Darby, of Darby Partners. The course is bounded by the Remarkables Mountain range and Lake Wakatipu. It traverses through wetland to the lake edge encountering steep bluffs, indigenous vegetation and wildlife. It is designed to work with nature, not against it. Fairways are designed with minimal excavation and careful plantings to complement the natural environment, but also to give the golfer a fighting chance.

Arrowtown Golf Club

The picturesque Arrowtown Golf Club is set nearby in one of New Zealand’s most historic and scenic towns. Surrounded by mountains, the 18 hole course has superb views from every fairway. Take time to play golf in this inspiring setting – it is unique! Each hole has its own attraction and the diverse and challenging course attracts players from all over the world. Historic stone cottage ruins nestle amongst towering trees, a legacy of Arrowtown’s pioneers. Arrowtown’s link with its gold mining past is highlighted in the names of holes: Sons of Fortune and Golden Arrow, which border the once rich, gold bearing Arrow River. Established in 1937 as a nine hole course, the second nine opened in 1970. The course is 5327 meters on the men’s card (par 70 for men, par 71 for women).

Millbrook Resort

Set in a natural, alpine amphitheatre, the golf course at Millbrook exploits the dramatic terrain, delivering world-class golf. Millbrook is quite simply a fantastic golf resort. The27-hole, championship course was originally designed by renowned professional and master golfer, Sir Bob Charles, with recent enhancements from European tour winner Greg Turner. It features four different tee positions for complete enjoyment at all levels of playing expertise. Challenging for both higher and lower handicap golfers, the Millbrook Resort course is one of the most impressive international golf arenas in the world, current host of the New Zealand Open. The Hills

The Hills was designed by Darby Partners and opened in 2007 to host the New Zealand Open. Set in over 500 acres of land across a glacial valley the layout highlights the dramatic elevation changes and rocky schist outcrops that are a feature of the area.

This championship layout provides a serious challenge for accomplished players while thoughtful and considerate design means that the golf course is equally enjoyable for golfers of all abilities. The beauty of the courses lakes, waterways and wetland areas are complimented by a stunning array of sculptures made by local and international artists.
