Duty Manager
Bring your strong hospitality front office experience to an award winning hotel team. The Rees Hotel, Queenstown is accepting applications for an experienced hospitality professional.

Purpose of Position
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a duty manager role in a 5* property.  You will possess outstanding communication skills and is impeccably groomed. As the first point of contact for the hotel you will be customer service driven and enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities
Perform Front Office and Hotel Reception Duties
Responsible whilst on shift for ensuring the smooth running of the front desk and related activities, identifying improvements to be made
Maintaining attendance records and rosters
Allocating tasks and duties to Housekeeping,Concierge, and Food and Beverage Departments
Being the allocated Duty Manager for conferences and events where required

Attributes
At least 2 years’ experience in a Duty Manager position in a high quality property
Hold a relevant industry qualification (Diploma/Degree Level)
Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Ability to multi-task in a busy hotel
Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Have strong initiative and ability to think outside the square
Excellent  verbal and written English language communication skills
A second language is desirable
Well-honed computer skills and experience with PMS (Preferably CMS Guest Centrix)
Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Long term commitment to Queenstown

Maintenance Technician (Carpentry)
Purpose of Position – You will be responsible with the troubleshooting of any technical and electrical difficulties of hotel systems. As an experienced Maintenance Technician, your objectives will include the general up-keep and maintenance of all electrical appliances and equipment, hotel buildings, grounds and facilities, all carpentry and joinery requirements.

Your level of skill and experience
Have relevant prior experience
Hold a relevant tertiary qualification
Understanding of legal compliance; OSH, fire safety and security
Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Ability to multi-task in a busy hotel
Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Enjoys working as part of a highly focused team

Chefs (Commis Chef/Breakfast Chef/Chef de Partie)
As an experienced Chef – you will be joining our team of passionate Kitchen team and reporting directly to the Executive Chef to deliver an outstanding gastronomic experience in our Award Winning True South Dining Room.

Your level of skill and experience
Have relevant prior experience in high quality properties
Understanding of Food Safety and impeccable hygiene practices
Accuracy and an “eye for detail”

Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Effective communication skills
Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
