FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
Bring your strong hospitality front office experience to an award winning hotel team. The Rees Hotel, Queenstown is accepting applications for an experienced hospitality professional.

Purpose of Position
This position is concerned with the management, supervision and coordination of activities of the front desk team (unit). As the Front Office Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the front desk team consistently provides an elite level of service ensuring that all guests & visitors are treated with exceptionally courteously, efficiently and in a professional manner commensurate with a world-class hotel.
Ensure the professional running of the Front Desk, achieved by ensuring the Company operating standards and front desk procedures are adhered to.

To facilitate ‘The Rees Guest Experience’ by providing a luxurious ambience, and welcoming environment through the Lobby to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
The Front Office Manager will be responsible for providing the leadership and training required to maintain staff who are committed to providing personalised service to all Hotel guests.

The Front Office Manager is expected to provide support to the Guest Services Manager, Operations Manager, and CEO. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and hotel-wide policies, practices, and procedures.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in a management position at a high-end, luxury resort property
  • Previous reservations and/or front office management experience
  • Previous leadership and motivational experience
  • Passionate about customer service/care

GUEST SERVICES AGENT

Bring your strong hospitality front office experience to an award winning hotel team. The Rees Hotel, Queenstown is accepting applications for an experienced hospitality professional.

Purpose of Position

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and is impeccably groomed. As the first point of contact for the hotel you will be customer service driven and enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations.  You will be proactive with a vivacious and professional approach to guest services.  You will conduct check ins and check outs efficiently, whilst maintaining a friendly dialogue with guests.  You will provide accurate and correct information on products and services as requested by guests and business associates.

Skills and Experience

  • Have previous front office experience in high-quality properties
  • Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
  • Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy hotel
  • Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
  • Have strong initiative and ability to think outside the square
  • Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills
  • A second language is desirable
  • Well-honed computer skills and experience with PMS (Preferably CMS Guest Centrix)
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

You will lead passionate food and wine stars and you will have a desire to share and expand your knowledge of hospitality, food and wine and the ambition to perform at your best. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in fine dining and/or in high quality properties.

Level of skill, experience and attributes

  • Hold relevant industry qualification/s
  • Demonstrable leadership and organisation capability
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role at high quality properties
  • Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
  • Passionate about food and wine
  • Be able to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills
  • Have strong initiative and ability to think outside the square
  • Superior verbal and written communication ability with an emphasis on accuracy—”eye for detail”
  • Experience with POS system (preferably CMS Guest Centrix)
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

HOTEL PORTER / CONCIERGE

Purpose of Position

This role is vital to The Rees Hotel, often being the first contact with guests on arrival. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and is impeccably groomed. You will be customer service driven, and will enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations.  Proactive, with a professional approach, you will be responsible for settling guests into their stay, including managing their luggage, explaining the hotel facilities, and providing an overview of activities and experiences in the area.  You will also be required to drive the hotel shuttle, and dealing with minor maintenance issues for guests.

Skills and Experience

  • Have previous experience in high-quality properties
  • Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
  • Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy hotel
  • Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
  • Have strong initiative and ability to think outside the square
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • A second language is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with PMS (Preferably CMS Guest Centrix)
