Senior Concierge
Bring your strong hospitality front office experience to an award winning hotel team. The Rees Hotel, Queenstown is accepting applications for an experienced hospitality professional.

Purpose of Position
This role is vital to The Rees Hotel, often being the first contact with guests on arrival. The successful candidate will be impeccably groomed and possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills . You will be customer service driven, and will enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations.  Proactive, and the consummate professional, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests enjoy a 5* Queenstown experience,  managing all their requirements for activities and experiences in the area.

Skills and Experience
Have previous experience in high-quality properties
Strong knowledge of the Queenstown Lakes District
Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Ability to multi-task in a busy hotel
Demonstrable leadership skills
Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Have strong initiative and ability to think outside the square
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
A second language is desirable but not essential
Excellent computer skills and experience with PMS (Preferably CMS Guest Centrix)
Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Sales driven
Full clean driver’s licence (P Licence an advantage)
Long term commitment to Queenstown

Hotel Porter/Concierge

Purpose of Position
This role is vital to The Rees Hotel, often being the first contact with guests on arrival. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and is impeccably groomed. You will be customer service driven, and will enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations.  Proactive, with a professional approach, you will be responsible for settling guests into their stay, including managing their luggage, explaining the hotel facilities, and providing an overview of activities and experiences in the area.  You will also be required to drive the hotel shuttle, and dealing with minor maintenance issues for guests.

Skills and Experience

Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills

Duty Manager
Bring your strong hospitality front office experience to an award winning hotel team. The Rees Hotel, Queenstown is accepting applications for an experienced hospitality professional.
Purpose of Position
Our Hotel Duty Managers pay a key leadership role at The Rees Hotel.  As the first point of contact for the hotel you will be customer service driven and enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations.
Responsibilities
Perform Front Office and Hotel Reception Duties
Responsible for explaining and enforcing Health and Safety of the Front office whilst on shift
Responsible whilst on shift for ensuring the smooth running of the front desk and related activities, identifying improvements to be made
Dealing with on shift staff issues and highlighting grievances
Maintaining attendance records and rosters
Allocating tasks and duties to Housekeeping,Concierge, and Food and Beverage Departments
Being the allocated Duty Manager for conferences and events where required

Attributes
At least 2 years’ experience in a Duty Manager position in a high quality property
Hold a relevant industry qualification (Diploma/Degree Level)
Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Ability to multi-task in a busy hotel
Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Have strong initiative and ability to think outside the square
Excellent  verbal and written English language communication skills
A second language is desirable
Well-honed computer skills and experience with PMS (Preferably CMS Guest Centrix)
Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Long term commitment to Queenstown
