Room Attendant(s)

Purpose of Position
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, be guest service driven and enjoy exceeding guests’ expectations. You will be pro-active and focused on cleaning, maintaining and servicing all guest accommodations, hotel public and private areas to the required 5-star standards.

Hotel Concierge
Bring your strong hospitality front office experience to an award winning hotel team. The Rees Hotel, Queenstown is accepting applications for an experienced hospitality professional.

Purpose of Position
This role is vital to The Rees Hotel, often being the first contact with guests on arrival. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and is impeccably groomed. You will be customer service driven, and will enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations. Proactive, with a professional approach, you will be responsible for settling guests into their stay, including managing their luggage, explaining the hotel facilities, and providing an overview of activities and experiences in the area. You will also be required to drive the hotel shuttle, and dealing with minor maintenance issues for guests.

Skills and Experience
· Have previous experience in high-quality properties
· Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
· Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
· Ability to multi-task in a busy hotel
· Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
· Have strong initiative and ability to think outside the square
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
· A second language is desirable but not essential

Carpet Layer/Maintenance Technician
Create magical first and lasting guest impressions as a Qualified Carpet Installer.
Purpose of Position
The ideal candidate will pride themselves on their quality workmanship and have the attention to detail, and attention to finish, needed to “stand behind” each and every broadloom metre of carpet professionally installed within our high-quality property. As a Full-Time member of the Maintenance team, you will specialise in “rolling out The Rees carpet” to exacting standards as part of our refurbishment programme, possessing superior communication skills and performing other Maintenance related duties when needed. You will have the ability to diagnose technical and/or electrical requests for service related to ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel systems. As a driven industry professional, your objectives will also cover the general up-keep and maintenance of all electrical appliances and equipment, hotel buildings, grounds and facilities, all carpentry and joinery requirements.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

Qualified Carpet Installer, covering carpet installations from start to finish
Essential you have at least 2 years of industry experience in commercial carpet laying
Hold a tertiary qualification or equivalent industry qualification
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Accuracy and an “eye for finish”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Be able to work autonomously, as part of a dedicated, high-performing team, with effective time management skills
Have relevant professional experience as a Maintenance Technician – highly desirable
Sound understanding of legal compliance; Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), Fire Safety & Security
Ability to prioritise and “think on your feet” in a busy, 5-Star hotel
Long term commitment to Queenstown

The Rees Driver Guide (Independent Contractor)

Purpose of Engagement
Our 5-Star Hotel is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and as part of this commitment we are requesting expressions of interest from Independent Contractors capable of delivering unforgettable tailored experiences and excursions. You will be proactive in generating business, highly responsible, customer service driven and have a personable, professional and engaging manner with our valued clientele.

Essentials
· P Endorsement Licence
· Valid, current and clean driver’s licence
· GST Registered
· Responsibility for paying own ACC Levies
· Insurance coverage on self and vehicles
· Demonstrate a high level of reliability and responsibility

· Strong knowledge of the Queenstown Lakes District

The ideal candidate will be highly service driven, possess meticulous standards and enjoy consistently exceeding guests’ expectations. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to supervise, coach and support Housekeeping team members, you will be proactive and focused on ensuring that cleaning, maintaining, and servicing all guest accommodation, hotel public and private areas meet the required 5-Star standard that we pride ourselves on.
