NIGHT AUDITOR/NIGHT PORTER

Bring your strong hospitality front office experience to an award winning hotel team. The Rees Hotel, Queenstown is accepting applications for an experienced hospitality professional.

Purpose of Position:
As Night Auditor, you will supervise, control and manage all Hotel Areas in the absence of senior management. You will ensure all hotel accounts are balanced accordingly with any discrepancies recorded and followed up. As a guest service driven hands-on professional, you will also assist with performing part time Night Porter shifts.

Level of Skill, Experience and Attributes
Hold a relevant industry qualification (Diploma/Degree Level)
Aptitude to lead and motivate a high performing team
Food & Beverage services experience
Proactive approach to problem solving
Ideally have at least 2 years experience in a similar role and/or high quality properties
Hold a valid and current Manager’s Licence (Liquor Controller Qualification) or be in a position to obtain one.
Superior verbal and written communication ability with an emphasis on accuracy—”eye for detail”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Computer skills and experience with PMS (Preferably CMS Guest Centrix)
A 2nd Language will be highly desirable
Enjoys working the Night Shift including Public Holidays
Be able to work in team settings, demanding strong interpersonal skills
Long term commitment to Queenstown

CHEF DE PARTIE

Purpose of Position:
As an experienced Chef—you will be joining our team of passionate chefs and reporting directly to the Executive Chef, to deliver outstanding culinary experiences in our Award Winning True South Dining Room.

Level of Skill, Experience and Attributes
Have relevant prior experience in high quality properties
Understanding of Food Safety and impeccable hygiene practices
Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Assists with planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
May select and train staff
Effective communication skills
Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
Enjoys working as part of a highly focused team
A long term commitment to Queenstown
